We are seeking a Practice Solutions Product Manager with a strong background in product management and innovation who thrives on solving complex business problems by crafting and shaping integrated solutions that improve attorney workflows and client value. As a Practice Solutions Product Manager, you will work closely with our practice groups and play a pivotal role in identifying client and attorney workflow inefficiencies, uncovering pain points, and designing and delivering solution approaches that leverage our existing capabilities and partnerships and/or searching for best-in-class legal technology tools in the marketplace. You will lead the discovery, design and delivery process of these solutions following Agile methodologies. Your work will directly impact how we evolve and position our solutions to meet the needs of the Firm and our clients.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Solution Lifecycle Ownership: Lead all stages of the solution lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
Research and Strategy
- Facilitate exploratory meetings and user research with internal stakeholders, attorneys, clients, and SMEs to identify business challenges and inefficiencies that require strategic solutioning.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from diverse sources (e.g., user interviews, usage analytics, market research, industry reports) to inform strategic decision making and solution design.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to practice leadership, providing insights on transformation opportunities.
Solution Design & Agile Development
- Partner with practice leadership to translate strategic goals into actionable business capabilities, roadmaps and detailed plans.
- Design and develop scalable solutions that streamline end-to-end processes, reduce complexity and improve efficiency.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide thoughtful updates throughout project lifecycles.
- Define measurement/ROI/KPI’s and ensure that the delivered initiatives are capturing the desired business value.
- Act as the accountable leader for the solution initiative including playing the single point of contact across various functions and Practices within the Firm to deliver value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders, IT, practice groups, knowledge management and various other teams to validate solution viability and ensure alignment across the business.
- Influence strategy and progress across partner functions, enhancing collaboration and resolving divergent goals.
- Communicate product strategy and progress with radical clarity to all stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree - required
Skills and Experience
- This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years experience in Product Management or related field. Direct experience in a law firm environment is a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Design Thinking principles to product discovery, prioritization and solutioning.
- Strong analytical, prioritization and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to make effective presentations to small and/or large groups of internal and external participants.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
- Ability to provide excellent quality client service to both internal and external contacts.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and capable of producing quality written communications such as presentations, spreadsheets, slides and other standard work documents.
- Strong appetite and aptitude to learn new technologies, develop innovative solutions and deliver compelling messaging.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize new software programs and tools.
- Sound judgment with respect to confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $185,000 at the time of posting.
Fully Remote: $135,000 to $165,000
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
