Responsibilities

Advise clients on complex land use entitlements, regulatory permitting, and environmental review processes.

Provide strategic guidance on CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) compliance and related environmental laws.

Counsel public agencies and private developers on planning and zoning matters, general plan amendments, and local approvals.

Collaborate with clients, consultants, and government agencies to advance major development projects.

Draft and review environmental impact reports, administrative records, and other land use documentation.

Support or lead land use litigation matters related to CEQA and other state or local land use regulations.
Qualifications
-
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active California Bar membership in good standing.

7+ years of relevant experience in land use and CEQA matters.

Substantial knowledge of California planning, zoning, and environmental review laws.

Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with teams and clients.

Land use litigation experience is preferred.
