Attorney General Campbell is looking for a highly motivated individual to join her team as a Paralegal in the Constitutional Administrative Law Division (CAdLaw) within the Government Bureau. The Government Bureau represents state agencies and officials in a broad range of civil litigation in state and federal courts. As part of that effort, CAdLaw defends legal challenges to state statutes and regulations; suits that challenge the implementation of state policies and programs; and suits for judicial review of the decisions of state administrative agencies.
Primary Duties:
- Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to Assistant Attorneys General and all aspects of their case requirements.
- Assist with fact gathering to support case development.
- Attend client meetings, depositions (both in and outside the office), court hearings, appellate arguments, and trials.
- Draft simple court pleadings.
- Prepare court documents for filing, with particular emphasis on appellate briefs and administrative records of state agency proceedings.
- Open, organize and maintain case files, including reviewing documents and exhibits.
- Support attorneys in preparation for hearings, appellate arguments, depositions, meetings, and trials.
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, witnesses, court clerk's offices, and members of the public.
- Screen and preparing mail.
- Review documents and exhibits.
- Manage calendars, including the scheduling of critical dates, deadlines, and case-related appointments.
- Completing forms, prepare court documents for filing, and maintain case management system.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties, including typing, filing, and processing and screening mail.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple overlapping deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills, sound judgment, and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Position Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt. Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays with a mandatory two (2) days working on site in Boston.
Salary: $55,375
