Join Amazon Ads Legal as a Corporate Counsel where you'll gain hands-on experience across consumer protection, data privacy, and AI applications in advertising. Amazon Ads helps brands and sellers connect with customers at scale. As part of our legal team, you'll develop expertise in multiple practice areas while supporting a dynamic, rapidly growing business. You'll advise on agentic AI applications for advertising customers and full-funnel advertising solutions—gaining exposure to emerging technologies and complex regulatory frameworks that will accelerate your professional development.

Key job responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on consumer protection, data privacy, and marketing compliance matters for Amazon Ads products and services
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, data scientists, and privacy specialists to enable innovative advertising solutions
- Review and advise on AI-powered advertising applications, including agentic systems and machine learning implementations
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on advertising agreements, technology licensing arrangements, and commercial partnerships
- Conduct legal research on novel regulatory questions and develop practical compliance frameworks
- Support product launches by identifying legal risks and developing business-enabling solutions
- Collaborate with global legal colleagues on cross-border advertising initiatives
A day in the life
You are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. You will shift gears between inspecting data flows, reviewing changes to the enterprise customer experience and content, and researching regulatory expectations on novel questions of compliance.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review
- Experience in search advertising, search marketing, performance advertising, or similar digital advertising
- Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
