
This fully remote role focuses on handling administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation for a variety of firm clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). Working under the guidance of partners and alongside other skilled attorneys and paralegals, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employment law, working with administrative agencies, and handling civil litigation in federal and state courts. In this position, your work will primarily involve the tactical aspects of cases with less of a need to attend in-person depositions, hearings, conferences, or trials.
This role will focus on efficient, high-quality legal work with a more flexible billable hours target and work/life balance, and no business development pressure or sourcing your own work, allowing you to concentrate on providing exceptional legal services without the burden of non-billable hour demands. Expertise in handling employment law matters and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential. Additional qualifications include having a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, at least seven years of experience in employment law and litigation, and active bar membership in good standing. Qualifications:
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
7+ years of employment law and litigation experience
Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Experience Level:
7 years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm setting
Bar Admission:
Must be admitted to the state bar where they live (preferably residing in a state where we have an office – listed below)
Billable Hours Expectation: Approximately 1,500 hours annually
Compensation: Starting at $130,000 annually, with flexibility based on billed hours
For example: $120,000 for 1,400 hours or $140,000 for 1,600 hours
Experience Level:
Senior-level attorneys (partner equivalent), capable of independently managing cases
Location: Must be admitted to the state bar where they live (preferably residing in a state where we have an office)
In-Person Requirements:
Occasional appearances for hearings and related proceedings
Compensation:
Ranges from $185,000 to $200,000, depending on experience and workload
Billable Hours Expectation:
Approximately 1,750–1,850 hours annually
