Primary Accountabilities
- You will conduct research and prepare background information.
- You will receive and respond to inquiries, relaying messages.
- You will manage calendars for court appearances, appointments, and meetings.
- You will schedule and coordinate tasks for file handlers and monitor progress.
- You will handle and distribute electronic mail.
- You will screen and respond to incoming mail to facilitate file handling.
- You will generate legal and claims correspondence.
- You will ensure delivery of documents to courts, opposing counsel, and others.
- You will schedule and coordinate with opposing counsel, witnesses, experts, and others for investigations, discovery, depositions, and trials.
- You will perform data entry and initial setup of new matters.
- You will handle tasks related to payments and closing files.
- You will participate in projects and committees.
- You will support file handlers with electronic legal databases and claim management systems.
- You will assist with training unit employees.
- You will administer divisional programs and conduct special projects.
- You will coordinate claim information collection for other divisions.
- You will maintain and update procedural documents and divisional contact information.
- You will organize and perform claim administrative workflow and processing tasks.
- You will understand stages of litigation and various legal documents.
- You may complete other assignments or participate in projects as needed.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Demonstrated experience performing legal support duties including interacting with members of the judiciary, opposing and co-counsel, clients, and expert and lay witnesses.
- Demonstrated experience working with confidential documents and situations.
- Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated experience writing and proofreading legal documents for proper grammar and spelling.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of legal procedures, legal terminology, and the judicial system.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of legal ethics rules and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

- Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
You have experience with SharePoint, Guidewire/Claims Center, Legal eXchange or Legal Files
In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home, proximate to one of our office locations (within approximately 35-50 miles). On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.
