What You Can Expect
As the Attorney II in Houston, Texas for ENGIE’s Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business platform you will act as a key player in project and negotiation to support GEMS’ business origination and in managing legal and regulatory risks in compliance with applicable laws across the full range of GEMS business activities. Everyday, you will report to the General Counsel to execute comprehensive legal strategies and solutions to lawfully facilitate GEMS’s commercial objectives while mitigating associated legal and other risks. You will also, draft, review and negotiate, master agreements, purchase agreements, and other contracts while supporting the ethics, compliance and other policies and procedures of ENGIE Group and GEMS.
What You’ll Bring

A minimum of a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one of the fifty (50) States with a minimum of two (2) years of law firm and/or in-house experience in positions relevant to wholesales U.S. power and gas markets
- Experienced in structured financed and secured hedge transactions
- Experienced with business acumen and drafting contracts
- Proven organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; three (3) days in office
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
