Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transactional Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this key role, you will provide essential transactional support for our private strategies portfolio managers and our Capital Markets team, with a primary focus on asset-backed, corporate and other non-real estate debt and equity deals.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in corporate and securities law, complemented by a proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing complex transactions. Your expertise will be critical in navigating the intricacies of negotiated and other bespoke transactions, ensuring compliance with PIMCO policies and procedures and legal / regulatory requirements, and driving forward the firm’s strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide transactional support for portfolio managers focused on asset-backed, corporate and other non-real estate debt and equity deals across the risk spectrum
Interact with outside counsel and oversee transactions, ensuring efficiency and adherence to the firm’s policies, procedures and other requirements
Manage various legal and regulatory matters associated with transactions, including those related to the expansion of PIMCO’s business model
Work on other legal projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the legal group and the firm overall
Collaborate effectively with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Legal & Compliance, Product Management and other teams to align legal strategies with business objectives
Engage with outside legal counsel and other service providers to facilitate seamless transactions and to identify and mitigate risks
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
Minimum of seven years of experience at a leading law firm or equivalent experience in a relevant legal environment
Experience in the investment management industry is highly desirable
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. securities laws and the legal documentation for debt and equity investments and the ability to interpret and apply legal principles effectively
Preferred experience in private corporate loan originations; preferred equity; secured financing transactions, including repo and warehouse lending; co-lender and intercreditor arrangements; workouts and restructurings; regulatory and compliance matters in respect of investment managers and broker-dealers; and private equity funds, hedge funds and registered mutual funds

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.Salary Range: $ 265,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
