Responsible for: identifying and managing global transfer pricing planning opportunities, managing the ongoing and recurring operational aspects of Eastman’s pricing strategy related to intercompany transactions, timely completion of Eastman’s global transfer pricing reporting requirements, assist with global transfer pricing controversy related matters, and identifying and implementing process improvement and efficiency strategies designed to better Eastman’s existing practices. Specifically, the responsibilities for this position are as follows:
-Engage in successful and effective communication within the tax department as well as with all other functional areas impacted by Eastman’s related party pricing relationships.
-Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies both on the compliance and ongoing operational aspect of transfer pricing. This should involve rethinking existing processes employed as well as utilizing tools that may provide automation or other opportunities for efficiencies.
-Develop and implement transfer pricing strategies designed to drive financial statement opportunity for Eastman and/or mitigate risk for the global Eastman group
-Manage financial and functional analyses to determine transfer pricing implications of Eastman’s related party transactions including: tangible product transactions, services, intellectual property, interest, etc.
-Transfer pricing documentation preparation and implementation in accordance with both US and OUS rules
-Effectively communicate Eastman’s global transfer pricing policy within the Eastman network and across various functional groups
-Stay abreast of transfer pricing related developments, including OECD issuances as well as local country rules and regulations
-Advise on the transfer pricing aspects of: business expansion, cross border transactions, new investments in jurisdictions, and other activity on a global scale that contemplates related party activity
-Support with the defense against transfer pricing audits on a global basis
-Take a leadership role within tax, accounting, treasury, legal and supply chain for all pricing matters as they relate to related party transactions.
-Lead and manage monthly, quarterly and annual operational transfer pricing processes and controls related to intercompany transactions and forecasting
-Work with global teams across functions to identify upcoming changes in the business and efficiently implement/integrate transfer pricing policies
