Position Summary

Patriot Holdings is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. This position involves a broad range of legal responsibilities, with a focus on real estate, contract management, due diligence, and litigation support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Due Diligence: Review title materials, surveys, zoning reports, and other related documents.

Transactional Support: Assist in financing and business development transactions, including conducting due diligence and review/preparing schedules.

Contract Management:

  • Communicate regularly on contract statuses with the General Counsel and management team. 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contract terms, including identifying necessary actions and reporting. 
  • Develop and draft contract language, letters, and other legal documents. 
  • Create, maintain and enhance the contract database, including researching tools and processes to improve contract administration. 
  • Assist in the development and revision of templates, key clauses, and template database management.

Legal Research: Conduct research and resolve routine legal questions under the supervision of the General Counsel.

Litigation Support: Provide assistance in litigation and insurance claims management.

Other Duties: Perform tasks as required under the supervision of the General Counsel.

 

Qualifications

Education: Paralegal Degree or Certification required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience. 
  • Employment law experience is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of the contract process, including evaluation, negotiation, approval, tracking, and close-out. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Dependable and driven, with a strong sense of urgency and a proactive attitude toward learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software applications (e.g., Monday).

Interpersonal Skills: 

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various departments to support organizational goals. 
  • Capability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. 
  • General understanding of business operations, dynamics, and issues beyond basic legal matters.

SALARY RANGE: 

  • $50,000 - $70,000 (DOE) annually
