Our law firm is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support our workers' compensation team in managing critical aspects of case progression. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the calendar for all depositions, mediations, trials, and appeals, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling.
  • Schedule depositions, Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), and mediations.
  • Conduct detailed client intakes to prepare Letters of Representation (LOR) and Form 50 for attorney review.
  • Request and follow up on medical records, ensuring all necessary documents are received prior to depositions, mediations, or trials.
  • Summarize medical records and identify key case issues.
  • Prepare Pre-Hearing Briefs for attorney review to ensure all materials are ready for hearings.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters on non-legal matters, including mileage reimbursements, Temporary Total Disability (TTD) check notifications, and physician appointment scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on workers' compensation or personal injury law preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal software and document management systems (experience with Litify is a plus).
