DutiesThe duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN) GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifies and resolves recurring incidents, ensuring system performance.
- Oversees the evaluation and deployment of system patches and upgrades.
- Develops standards and criteria for assessing system performance.
- Performs system maintenance to support mission-essential operations.
- Plans customer support services to meet mission-essential needs.

- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.
- You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.

- This position requires the candidate to be able to hold a security clearance at the Top Secret security level.

To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN), at GS-2210-13, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below.
Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:
- Provides IT systems administration, customer support, service desk, and information security support.
- Plans and coordinates the installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
