Description
Position Summary
Provide litigation, compliance and general franchisee support, including clerical and administrative tasks, and serve on primary point of contact team for the Legal & Compliance Department telephone and email queue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for triage of incoming phone calls and emails, responding to simple legal questions and connecting callers with the appropriate subject-matter expert for more complicated issues; serve as co-team leader for the phone response team.
- Assist with subpoena and records responses.
- Organize and maintain projects and processes by processing requests, tracking spreadsheets, creating files, and facilitating responses.
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling documentation, maintaining files.
- Receive and distribute Department incoming mail. Prepare and coordinate delivery of Department outgoing mail.
- Organize and maintain office supplies.
- Event planning for department gatherings.
- Other clerical and administrative projects or duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college experience preferred.
- Previous work experience in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
- Previous experience with litigation or compliance matters preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems and ability to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
- Case management software experience a plus.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment working within time constraints.
- Ability to use a high degree of discretion in sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain required service levels by consistently meeting deadlines and turnaround goals.

Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary to light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to produce quality work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
- Subject to normal office noise levels.
- Minimal to no travel required.
- Position is located at Express Employment International Headquarters in Oklahoma City, currently with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote).
