Duties If selected, you will serve as a Records and Information Management Specialist for the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Western District of Washington. You will provide extensive data entry and analytical and program management work to ensure all USAO records and information are created, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with Federal, Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), and Department of Justice (DOJ) guidelines. At the full performance level, duties will include: Identifying Federal records pursuant to the Federal Records Act (44 U.S.C.ยง 3301) and maintaining records in accordance to prescribed DOJ, EOUSA, and USAO policies and procedures; Studying the types of records, use, location, and classification to develop efficient and effective records management controls; Developing or requesting new or modified reports and internal processing procedures to meet changes in USAO needs or to improve docketing efficiency and effectiveness; Responding to inquiries on case status from client agencies and USAO staff and retrieving information using query routines or from hard copy reports; Serving as a source of procedural and technical information on all aspects of USAO docketing functions for criminal cases; Ensuring proper codes are selected in the docketing system and updating databases and systems as necessary to record status changes in all items docketed; and Determining incoming cases or legal actions requiring special handling and making appropriate referral prior to coding and data entry. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Salary- $56,153 - $89,290/year
