The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex employment issues, security-related liability risks, and public contract requirements across both states.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position focuses on managing legal matters in Florida and Texas and supporting A&A’s operational teams in maintaining compliance, resolving disputes, and preventing exposure.

  • Oversee all active litigation, pre-litigation matters, and legal claims arising in Florida and Texas
  • Coordinate responses to FLSA claims, wage and hour disputes, workplace complaints, and third-party liability cases
  • Support defense strategy for negligence claims related to event staffing, public venues, and security guard services
  • Draft and respond to demand letters, indemnity claims, and defense tenders involving clients and subcontractors
  • Act as the company’s legal liaison with external counsel and insurance providers throughout all stages of litigation
  • Maintain internal records of case activity, legal responses, and court deadlines
  • Manage internal discovery processes, including document production, witness coordination, and timeline preparation

COURT APPEARANCES AND LEGAL REPRESENTATION
  • Appear on behalf of A&A in local and state courts in Florida and Texas for pre-trial conferences, mediations, or administrative hearings
  • Represent A&A in non-trial proceedings, such as sworn declarations, depositions, or settlement negotiations
  • Assist in preparing executives or employees for affidavits, testimony, or legal statements as required

CONTRACT REVIEW AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
  • Provide legal support on vendor, staffing, and subcontractor agreements across both states
  • Review indemnity, non-compete, liability, and confidentiality clauses for enforceability and risk implications
  • Advise business units on risk exposure following incidents or client complaints
  • Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and field operations to ensure case documentation is consistent and defensible

INTERNAL COMPLIANCE AND LEGAL OPERATIONS
  • Maintain a centralized calendar of litigation deadlines, hearings, and legal deliverables for Florida and Texas
  • Deliver regular legal briefings to senior leadership with case updates and legal recommendations
  • Draft internal summaries, strategy memos, and legal correspondence supporting counsel or regulatory filings
  • Design and implement internal procedures to improve litigation readiness and claims prevention

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multi-state legal matters
  • Skilled at reviewing contracts, interpreting legal risk, and supporting executive decision-making

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • In-house experience within high-volume labor industries such as staffing, public contracting, or security
  • Familiarity with FLSA regulations, subcontractor agreements, venue security liability, and indemnification clauses
  • Experience coordinating with risk carriers and defense counsel to resolve or defend claims
  • Background in handling workplace injury claims, venue incidents, and staffing-related litigation
  • Understanding of compliance and contract protocols in city, county, or state agency partnerships
