BCL Search See More Job Openings by This EmployerOur client, a prestigious boutique law firm based in New York City, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Paralegal Assistant to support their legal team. This individual will work closely with 2-3 attorneys on a variety of case-related tasks, and should bring strong litigation experience and excellent organizational skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a high-caliber legal team. This is a full-time, in-office position (5x/week).
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and senior paralegals

Assist in preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials

Manage document production, including organizing, reviewing, and maintaining case files and exhibits

Coordinate court filings (electronic and physical) in state and federal courts

Maintain litigation calendars and track deadlines, court appearances, and discovery schedules
-
Assist with trial preparation including assembling binders, exhibits, and witness materials

Organize and maintain internal filing systems (both electronic and hard copy)

Schedule meetings and depositions; communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed

Conduct legal research and summarize findings when appropriate

Perform additional administrative and case support tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

3-5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting (commercial litigation preferred)

Strong understanding of court rules, filing procedures, and legal terminology

Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong follow-through and accountability for completing assignments independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management systems

Familiarity with legal research tools and electronic filing systems (e.g., NYSCEF, PACER)

Team-oriented with a proactive, flexible, and solution-driven attitude

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate a plus
HOURS
9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
SALARY
$75-90K (DOE)
