Position and Salary
The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a non-permanent full time IT Support Technician 2 in the Information Services Division. This position may be located in either Tumwater or Spokane, Washington, and is not union-represented.
IT Support Technician 2 Salary Range 46: $47,988 - $64,440
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The following stipends may apply based on position requirements:
- Incumbents assigned to our Seattle office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.
- Incumbents assigned to a position designated as requiring dual language skills will receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.

About the Information Services Division:
The Information Services Division (ISD) provides support and consulting for legal technologies.
The division is responsible for the development and delivery of AGO computer and telephone network infrastructure and the operation of network hardware and software platforms to provide AGO staff access to their work products and communications. This division has multiple units that provide eDiscovery litigation support, custom software development, business intelligence and data management services. Data security and disaster recovery are key to the maintenance and operations of the AGO's voice and data systems. The division also ensures compliance with state governance policies and standards and ensures that all electronic services function properly and securely.
Duties and Essential Functions of a IT Support Technician 2:
Under general supervision, independently performs a variety of generally recurring routine technical IT support tasks such as:
• Configure and deploy laptops and peripheral devices, phones, and other hardware tools at all AGO locations statewide. This includes preparing equipment orders, installing and configuring hardware and software on workstations including imaging desktops and completing minor desktop workstation repair.
• Maintaining network adapters and peripherals.
• Performing hardware repair on hard-drives and upgrading memory.
• Performing routine analysis, configuration and documentation of telephone systems.
• Assisting IT professionals in providing hardware and application support for day-to-day operations within an assigned area.
• Provide on-site customer support to AGO staff to aid in transitioning to new technology, which may require overnight stays in other parts of state.
• Decommission legacy hardware and assist in other post-deployment efforts.
• Independently provides support for an assigned regional area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience in information technology-related activities such as systems administration, installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting peripherals, conducting basic knowledge of networking connectivity/infrastructure/telecommunications.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Six months experience working in a law firm environment.
