Legal Administrative Specialist

Position: Legal Administrative Specialist
Assist the Legal/Compliance Department with all administrative functions, including but not limited to, preparing general and legal correspondence, pleadings, data entry, preparing and maintaining excel spreadsheets.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Proofs of Claim, Reaffirmation Agreements and Correspondence to Debtor’s Counsel and/or Trustee under Chapter 11, Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases.
- Draft settlement agreements, addendum to contracts, legal letters, etc.
- Draft PA civil complaints and prepare for mail service.
- Review with outside counsel all cases prior to court appearances.
- Coordinate production of documents for subpoenas and discovery responses.
- Process departmental mail.
- Review invoices and prepare check requests for approval.
- Meeting minutes.
- Assist with State Licensing.
- Prepare and maintain excel spreadsheets.
- Other administrative tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- One to three years of experience in a legal environment or recovery collections
- Self-driven, results oriented individual
- Ability to work hybrid schedule to accommodate departmental coverage needs
- Able to work individually and with a team of paralegals and collectors
- Associates degree and/or Paralegal Certificate a plus but not required
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PC proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel required
- Ability to learn and retain job related information
- Detailed and team oriented
