Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Evaluation Paralegal to join our team on-site in our Burbank office. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in employment litigation or pre-litigation. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing intake files, speaking with clients, evaluating the legal strength of potential claims, and drafting clear recommendations for attorney review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze intake files and identify potential employment law violations, damages, and liability.
- Collaborate with attorneys during the case underwriting process.
- Communicate with clients professionally and compassionately.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the case management system.
- Utilize databases and the internet to conduct research on defendant business entities
- Review personnel records to identify arbitration and confidentiality agreements
- Contact clients to schedule consultations with the litigation evaluation attorneys
- Draft, send, and process retainer agreements for clients who will be beginning class action litigation
- Organize and set up litigation case files for matters that have been newly retained for class action litigation
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in employment law, litigation support, or pre-litigation evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Excellent writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
