Established in 1989, Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. is a law firm that limits its practice to the collection of unpaid real estate taxes and municipal utility fees. PLA now represents more than 200 municipal clients throughout Pennsylvania, with offices in King of Prussia, Allentown and Aliquippa.

Job Overview and Requirements
The Legal Administrator will support various administrative and clerical tasks. This entry-level position is an exciting opportunity where you’ll play a key role in providing front-line, day-to-day support to taxpayers while helping keep our law firm running smoothly.
As a Legal Administrator, you will answer phone calls and provide solutions to taxpayer inquiries, prepare daily correspondence, formalize and oversee payment arrangements, and manage other administrative activities as needed. The ideal candidate must be organized, works well independently, and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities
- Review files and independently prepare appropriate correspondence as assigned
- Answer and return telephone calls from property owners, negotiate payment plan terms, and make recommendations for hardship consideration
- Create payment plan modules and monitor payment plan status persistently
- Understand and follow office policies to ensure compliance
- Establish a level of proficiency on client nuances.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements
- B.A/B.S from an accredited university. In the absence of a B.A./B.S, one (1) to three (3) years work experience in collections is required.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), the Internet, and ability to learn Collection Partner (Hubbard).
- Continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials as well as establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining professional working relationships with a diverse group of individuals
- Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity.
- Ability to work overtime as mandated
