Proskauer is seeking a Legal Project Manager (“LPM”), based in the US. The LPM will work with the Legal Project Management team to support attorneys in managing the Firm’s business and clients through early-stage matter engagement, budgeting, matter lifecycle tracking, and reporting to help promote increased profitability and scalability. 

The LPM will report to the Associate Director of Legal Project Management and work closely with senior members of the LPM team, as well as professionals across the Firm’s Business Services teams, to support the Firm’s legal operations objectives. By equipping attorneys and the LPM team with tools, data, and insights, the LPM will contribute to the delivery of value-driven solutions and enhanced client service delivery. 



Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with attorneys to scope and develop budgets for client matters across multiple practice areas and build subject matter expertise regarding same.
  • Draft and refine matter updates and performance metrics in collaboration with senior team members to ensure accuracy and alignment before presentation to stakeholders.
  • Support the Legal Project Management function’s objectives by leveraging tools such as Iridium, Clocktimizer, Aderant, HighQ, Smartsheet, Foundation, Preqin, Bloomberg, SSRS reports, Excel, and other data analysis/reporting tools to extract, analyze, and present data.
  • Contribute to complex matter management efforts by tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables for key client engagements.
  • Provide research and data-gathering support for strategic initiatives and department-wide projects.
  • Identify issues or opportunities, escalate them appropriately, track resolutions, and document lessons learned.
  • Partner with Pricing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Client Operations, and other Business Services teams to provide project support and contribute to process improvement throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management, Practice Management, and Information Services to support practice innovation initiatives.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of Legal Project Management best practices and tools, contributing to team knowledge sharing and process documentation.


Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of Legal Project Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • JD and/or law practice experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment required.
  • PMP or Prince 2 Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, SSRS, Power BI is a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized and a team player.

This position may require periodic physical presence in Proskauer’s offices as business needs require. The anticipated compensation for this position is $130,000-$160,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
