Attorney - Legal Tech

Description

We are an innovative legal tech company on the rise, actively looking for a contract attorney to join our team remotely. In this flexible contract role, you'll be instrumental in crafting state-specific legal documents. The selected candidate will enjoy competitive compensation and remain an independent contractor.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive multi-jurisdictional research on laws and regulations related to contracts, leases, incorporations, and various legal documents
• Creating templates that are enforceable across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
• Collaborating closely with our design and engineering teams to seamlessly integrate documents into our platform, with basic HTML training provided
• Supporting form generation, document testing, and other product development activities

Requirements

• A Juris Doctorate degree
• Proven experience in drafting transactional legal documents
• Outstanding research capabilities using legal platforms, particularly Westlaw
• Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for identifying issues in complex documents
• Strong technical skills with a quick ability to adapt to new systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Experience in law journal editing is a plus, though not mandatory.
