Job Description

The eDiscovery field is booming!  To keep up with demand we are actively seeking a Manager for our Client Advisory Technology Services department (commonly known as eDiscovery Department) in our Minneapolis, MN officeThe successful candidate will apply their experience and knowledge to manage projects and eDiscovery assignments across all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).  This position will be located in Minneapolis, MN and will assist legal teams in all of our 12 offices.  We support flexibility with working from home and in the office, but require an in-office presence 1-2 days a week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Determine technology needs of litigators, evaluate possible solutions, and apply technology to meet the needs of litigation.
  • Manage all aspects of eDiscovery project services for assigned client and/or matters, including routine communication with legal teams regarding status.
  • In consultation with other members of the team, design, develop, and implement a variety of technological solutions to litigation issues.
  • Prepare business proposals for eDiscovery services 
  • Analyze and resolve litigation software user needs and problems.
  • Provide training to others in the use and capabilities of litigation related software.
  • Monitor project management software (Agility Blue), assign projects and tasks as needed
  • Time recording and tracking of billable hours (1000 hours per year)

Position Requirements:

  • Advanced Project Management and task prioritization skills required.
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred.
  • Experience with LAW PreDiscovery, Relativity One, Relativity Processing, Nuix, and/or EnCase systems is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of: legal principles and terminology; EDRM; methods and requirements of legal discovery and legal research; principles and practices of document collection, imaging, coding, electronic storage, and retrieval; current word processing, spreadsheet, database, multimedia presentation; functions and operations of personal computers.
  • Availability for frequent travel, including outside of US (rare), is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; Associate’s Degree or higher required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation/practice support services 
  • Relativity and/or CEDS certification is desirable.

Compensation Range:  $150,000
