Associate Corporate Counsel, Technical Infrastructure, Networks

Minimum qualifications:

• JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience with network/submarine cable infrastructure.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements for the build, procurement, and operation of technical infrastructure-related projects.
• Experience advising on telecommunications regulations and US FCC licensing process.
• Experience with data center, colocation, dark fiber, submarine cable, energy, and other technical infrastructure agreements.
• Effective people skills and a commitment to professionalism and working with others.
• Well-organized and able to manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters from complex to routine standard matters.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts supporting Google’s technical infrastructure procurement and operation...
• Advising on projects and business initiatives to provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate infrastructure and energy projects.
• Respond promptly to legal requests from supervising lawyers, program managers, negotiators, and executives.
• Coordinate across internal legal teams on a variety of matters related to technical infrastructure deals and projects.
