Job Title: | Assistant General Counsel |
Role Summary: | Prepares and examines contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, etc. Provides legal counsel to the organization on issues arising from actual for anticipated lawsuits and to prevent lawsuits. Prepares corporate resolutions and forms. Prepares legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc. Develop and recommend company policies and guidelines on legal and compliance issues. Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues. Perform investigations and conduct compliance training. Provide legal counsel and advice to internal clients. |

Required Minimum Years Experience: | Minimum of three years of maritime law and litigation experience in an Admiralty law firm, corporate legal department or shipping carrier
