Key Responsibilities:


1. Manages a caseload of Workers' Compensation cases, completing Preliminary Case Reviews (PCRs) and ensuring timely resolution of claims. Utilize firm resources efficiently, delegate tasks, and supervise staff.

2. Consults with partner to analyze case outcomes, develop strategies, and manage legal documentation including Complaints, Motions, Briefs, and Appeals. Ensure all deadlines are met and Service of Process is completed accurately according to firm and legal standards.

3. Maintains consistent and effective communication with clients, providing updates on case progression, managing concerns, and ensuring all interactions are documented.

4. Obtain, review, and summarize materials to support cases, balancing costs and benefits to maximize client recovery.

5. Oversee coordination of benefits, ensuring appropriate insurance payments for medical expenses. Manages the tracking of client out-of-pocket expenses and outstanding medical bills, negotiate reductions, and communicate potential client responsibilities.

6. Coordinate cases with other attorneys, identifying the need to seek and obtain experts/outside counsel, and ensure effective communication of case developments. Lead and develop support staff, fostering professional growth and innovation.

7. Represent clients in legal proceedings, collaborate with ESA services for client support, and seek business development opportunities to enhance the firm’s growth.

8. Provide call duty and client sign-up during evenings and weekends as needed, consulting with the partner to communicate findings/developments in a case to determine an overall case management strategy. Escalates all concerns as soon as they develop.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years Workers Compensation experience required.
  • Juris Doctor and admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and authorized to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
