The Role:
As a senior paralegal/legal operations specialist you will work with the entire legal team across various legal practices to support Thrasio’s evolving business. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all legal administration activities and department operations.
Responsibilities:
General Administration and Operations
Create and improve processes that promote consistent best practices; identify business process issues and knowledge gaps and recommend improvements to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
Work with assigned Legal Counsel and the Technology Team to assess and implement new Legal Department technology solutions.
Provide exceptional cross-functional legal support and collaboration; build and maintain strong relationships.
Manage invoicing for legal expenses, serve as the administrator for the Legal Department invoice system and work with Accounts Payable Team to ensure timely resolution and payment of invoices.
Contracts
Serve as the contracts management systems administrator; assist in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations.
Assist clients with utilization of MNDA workflows in contracts management system as needed.
Governance and M&A
Maintain worldwide corporate entity database.
Assist with governance and related documentation in maintaining entities, including corporations and limited liability companies.
Assist with KYC processes.
Assist with the divestitures of entities and assets.
Assist with preparation of schedules for M&A transactions.
Maintain Thrasio Policy Manual and lead annual review process.
Marketing-Legal
Support Marketing counsel to ensure Thrasio is in compliance with advertising law and industry standards across all marketing assets and channels, including Amazon and social media platforms’ rules and policies
Review and monitor brand advertising and marketing per Marketing counsel’s guidance, especially in robust influencer/creator network, including proper endorsement disclosures, media and publicity rights acquisition, and compliance with platform policies on concerns
Maintain claim substantiation database and other supporting documentation, such as licenses, certifications, trademark registrations, right-of-publicity releases
Support privacy concerns for consumer data collection, esp. via DTC sites
Litigation support of consumer-law claims, including preparation and collection of revenue and sales data; source and collect supporting materials to prepare defensive materials; maintain tracking and coordinate requirements of settlement agreements, including ongoing review of targeted assets and packaging and communications with applicable brand and creative teams
Intellectual Property (IP)
Work with internal and outside counsel to track, file, maintain and defend patents, copyrights and trademarks.
Litigation Support
Prepare, distribute and track status of legal litigation holds.
Work with the Technology Team to ensure materials responsive to Litigation Holds are properly retained.
Maintain litigation tracker including key case information, such as involved parties, assigned outside counsel, assigned in-house counsel, key dates, monthly/quarterly updates and established reserves.
Work with the Finance Team to ensure pending matters are reserved against adequately.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or higher in applicable field
Minimum of 4+ years as a paralegal or legal operations specialist
Highly organized; able to handle multiple competing priorities at any given time; strong attention to detail, time/task management, and prioritization
Process oriented; driven by opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity
High level of confidentiality and integrity
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team structure
Client focused
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Project management skills
Tech savvy; strong functional use of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with contract management systems like Ironclad, project management software like Monday, Legal Tracker or other e-billing and litigation tracking software are a plus.
Experience supporting a corporate legal team; exposure to legal disciplines, e.g. intellectual property, governance, compliance, marketing, M&A, and employment
Paralegal certification preferred

We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably. As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.) The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term [and long-term] incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
