Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist with a strong background in legal billing to join a leading litigation law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have AR and collections experience, be familiar with e-billing platforms, and preferably have hands-on experience with Aderant software. This full-time, onsite position requires the ability to work in the office. Legal or law firm billing experience is required.


Schedule and Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST
  • 7.5-hour shift (1-hour Lunch Break)
  • Full-Time Onsite hours/week) 


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the accounts receivable function with a focus on legal billing
  • Perform collections and assist in resolving past-due accounts
  • Provide billing support, including researching e-billing websites
  • Handle cash receipts and client payments
  • Assist with appeals and ensure timely resolution
  • Prepare accurate and timely AR reporting
  • Collaborate closely with the Billing and Collections team to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Use firm accounting software and tools to maintain AR records
  • Can travel onsite at least 2-3x a week.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Legal billing experience is required
  • Experience with Aderant or other legal billing systems is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with law firm e-billing portals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
