Position Title: Multijurisdictional Drug & Violent Crime Task Force Agent
Status: Full Time
Closing: Open until Filled
Salary: Starting 45,000.00 a year, with a step increase after one year.
Benefits: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly.
Role Description
The District 22 District Attorney's Office is taking applications for (one) position of full-time Drug Task Force Agent. This position will be assigned to the District 22 District Attorney's Multijurisdictional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and will work cases assigned to them by the Chief Investigator and/or the Drug and Violent Crimes Agent in Charge. The Agent will conduct investigations into suspected violations of Oklahoma State law, primarily within Pontotoc, Seminole, and Hughes Counties. This is a grant-based position and is contingent upon Justice Assistance Grant approval every two years. Current grant is valid through 06/30/2027.
Investigator duties include but are not limited to:
Investigating violations of state drug laws, conducting arrests.
Participate in undercover operations, raids, and surveillance.
Locating, interviewing, and collecting statements from victims, witnesses and suspects. Collecting evidence at crime scenes, completing applications for search warrants, and performing interrogations as well as assembling charge packets.
Agent will work closely with other law enforcement agencies within and outside of Oklahoma and must be willing to serve as a Task Force Officer with various federal agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must be CLEET full-time certified with a minimum of three years' full time law enforcement experience, with preference given to those with narcotics/investigative experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required. Must reside within the geographical boundaries of District 22 or be able to relocate within a reasonable amount of time.
This position will rotate as an on-call investigator and is subject to call-out 24/7. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.
Additional requirements include: U.S. Citizen/ Have a high school diploma or GED, a bachelor's degree or higher education preferred / Veteran's Preference / No felony convictions or major misdemeanors/ No domestic violence convictions/ Must be computer proficient.
