JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for building capacity and providing supports for school communities that are consistent with and supportive of the District’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. This includes overseeing a program in the area of responsibility, while ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist legal counsel with research and legal guidance
- Assist and manages public records request to ensure compliance
- Assist and lead investigation and crafting legal responses
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the legal or related field that aligns with area of assignment
- Training or experience that aligns with area of assignment
- Three years’ related professional experience in the area of assignment
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior legal experience
- Experience with legal research platforms
- Experience with public records, Title IX, Title VI
