Builden Partners seeks a Legal Marketing Specialist to develop and execute marketing, awards, events and communications strategy for our growing list of law firm clients.

The Legal Marketing Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies that support our law firm clients’ goals. This position requires a blend of legal industry knowledge, top-notch writing skills and a strong client service mindset to promote Builden’s clients effectively.
This position is based in Chicago and is primarily remote, with the expectation of coming into the office once a week. Fully remote candidates who reside in Pennsylvania, Tennessee or Missouri will also be considered.

Legal Marketing Specialist

The Legal Marketing Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies that support our law firm clients’ goals. This position requires a blend of legal industry knowledge, top-notch writing skills and a strong client service mindset to promote Builden’s clients effectively.
This position is based in Chicago and is primarily remote, with the expectation of coming into the office once a week. Fully remote candidates who reside in Pennsylvania, Tennessee or Missouri will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and serve as the day-to-day contact for retainer and project-based law firm clients
- Research, plan and execute events and conference participation as well as coordinate strategic sponsorships
- Implement Builden’s marketing infrastructure model for clients, including:
- Developing thought leadership content and client newsletters
- Creating playbooks to train clients to implement our marketing infrastructure model
- Handling social accounts and website updates
- Lead client meetings, including preparing agendas and coordinating follow up
- Create, edit and update client press releases, biographies, practice group descriptions, social media posts, award nominations, invitations, website content, presentations, ad copy, brochure content and other content
- Manage our legal awards program, including researching and maintaining our awards calendar across all clients and drafting select award submission content
- Coordinate and support directory submissions, including Chambers and Legal 500
- Provide research and analysis for various initiatives
- Assist with new attorney onboarding
- Manage key elements of client brand and website redesigns
- Maintain and share analytics reports
The right candidate has:
- 4-6 years of experience with in-house law firm experience strongly preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a positive attitude
- A strong client service focus
- Proficiency in social media platforms, CRMs and analytics tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work proactively and independently
