Position Title and Salary:               Full-Time Trial Court Clerk II

Salary:                                                Grade 18, $18.119 per hour, with potential step increases based  
                                                             on performance and length of service
                                                                                                            
Location of Employment:               15th Judicial District, Thomas County, KS 

Kansas Judicial Branch Benefits:  State Employment Center - Benefits (ks.gov)                            

Job Duties: Receiving, docketing, and processing cases accurately for the District Court; issuing legal processes as required; setting hearings; managing court calendars; and assisting with docket preparation. Processing payments and providing information and assistance to judges, attorneys, litigants, law enforcement, government agencies, and the public in person, by phone, and by email. Facilitating courtroom proceedings using recording equipment and technology to manage in-person and virtual hearings. Communicating clearly and professionally while maintaining confidentiality. Following court rules, policies, and procedures when making decisions. Performing other duties as assigned by the Clerk of the District Court.
           
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year minimum of office experience- legal experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online platforms like Zoom. Experience handling high call volumes and providing in-person customer assistance. Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
