THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be part of the in-house legal team as Senior Manager, Business & Legal Affairs for Legends and ASM, serving its various domestic and international global partnerships and global sales business lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and advise on all legal activity related to the global partnerships and global sales business lines, including, but not limited to, sales services agreements, sponsorship agreements, suite license agreements, radio affiliate agreements, vendor service agreements, etc.
- Coordinate both internal and external parties to effectively negotiate and execute deals from NDAs through post-completion of the main agreement.
- Coordinate with (and often lead) colleagues in other areas within the company’s legal team, other functions and business units within company, and outside counsel (in the United States and abroad).
- Maintain and enhance a repository of business legal resources that are required for company business needs or will enhance efficiencies in managing multiple, simultaneous transactions.
- Maintain and enhance record-keeping system of the company’s business legal and transactional documents.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Juris doctor degree and admission to state bar (current or become admitted shortly).
- At least four to seven years of experience as a practicing attorney for corporate law, with significant experience representing clients involved in sponsorships and sales services. This includes drafting, negotiating, and completing transactions.
- Corporate in-house experience for global public companies preferred. Experience in sports, entertainment, media companies, and technology companies including but not limited to emerging platforms related thereto.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve matters effectively and efficiently and to build strong collaborative relationships with senior management, as well as business leaders and other colleagues in various functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Global Communications, Supply Chain, R&D, IT, Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability).
- Excellent legal and business judgment; a high degree of discretion; and excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
- Someone who strives for excellence in execution and follows through, including excellent transactional drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to cover a high volume of deals simultaneously.
- Honest, trustworthy, professional, solid work ethic.
- High attention to detail and strong pride in work product.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks in a team-based structure and consistently meet deadlines including but not limited to a willingness to tackle matters outside of areas of expertise.
- Works well under minimal supervision; ability to clearly define and execute tasks based on priority.
- Have a strong desire to learn the business and function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team with an uncompromising focus on both minimizing legal risk while driving business growth and delivering a high level of service.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with the latest technologies to enhance efficiencies in due diligence, contract negotiation/execution and post-completion integration.
- Some domestic and international travel are required.
- Admission in good standing to the Bar of the State of New York is preferred, but other states will be considered.
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary range of $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
