Job Description

Full-time
Description

Gordon Feinblatt’s Employment Practice Group needs an experienced Employment Law Attorney, preferably having spent 10 or more years advising clients on management-side employment issues.  Labor law experience is a plus but not strictly required; litigation experience is a significant plus.

A typical day for this position is a mix of fielding one-off questions from clients navigating through their human resources challenges and long-term projects including litigation.  This is a senior position working independently without more senior supervision but is part of a collaborative employment law team and a firm available to provide support as unique or unusual client challenges are presented.

Our team spends most of its time:

  • Responding to claims filed with federal, state, and local agencies and courts and
  • Advising clients on EEO issues; federal and state wage and hour law; compliance with federal state and local leave laws; reasonable accommodation and other employment-related compliance matters
  • Conducting workplace investigations and training
  • Drafting position statements, court filings and other legal documents,
  • Providing strategic legal advice

Our team has an existing stable of clients thus a significant book of portable business is not required but is considered a plus.  The successful candidate will be expected to attach to existing clients and over time expand the practice by adding new clients.
