Job Description
The position is located in the Office of Administration (OA). Space and Facilities Management (SFMS) provides planning, management, and direction of space and facilities management programs. In addition to management of real property, it manages the Safety & Health Program, building access, and facility emergency procedures. The Incumbent is responsible for the space management of all EOIR owned and leased facilities within the headquarters offices and immigration courts throughout the country.
Duties Duties include but are not limited to the following: Provides overall planning, management, and direction of space and facilities management programs across a large geographically disbursed portfolio. Provides updates and guidance to senior leadership on all facilities management, construction management and space acquisition projects, personal property and logistics. Directs the work of a multi-disciplined staff consisting of management and program analysts, project managers, technical personnel, space management specialists. Directs the development and design of floor plans, layouts, workflow charts and other data to coordinate work operations with space assignment. Responsible for financial planning and budgeting for the Division and the agency's future planning of space and facility requirements. Evaluates requests for additional space assignments within prescribed limits for permanent staff or ad hoc groups. Responsible for the agency Personal Property and Accountable Property programs and reporting. Responsible for logistics management, including mail, transportation and moves. Serves as primary contact with officials from GSA and DHS on EOIR space projects and represents EOIR during all phases of a project in GSA or DHS owned or leased occupancies. Develops housing strategies for EOIR, which include GSA federal space and leased solutions to formulate efficient and economical space operations Directs the collection of building management and occupancy data such as location, square footage, floor load capacity, facilities, lighting, heating, plumbing, ventilation and anticipated usage as office space and analyzes and evaluates these data to inform recommendations and decisions. Salary- $169,279 - $197,200/year
