Paralegal - Foreclosure, Evictions & Bankruptcy

With more than 110 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities. We currently have an opening in the Columbia, SC office for an onsite, fulltime Paralegal for the Foreclosure, Evictions and Bankruptcy Practice Group.

Responsibilities

• Manage high volume of case files and track deadlines from intake through resolution
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, and other legal documents
• File documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filing
• Assist attorneys with foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy matters, including proofs of claim and motions for relief from stay
• Coordinate service of process and monitor case progress
• Communicate directly with courts, clients, and opposing counsel regarding case status
• Prepare files and materials for hearings and court appearances
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of confidential information

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, or litigation
• Experience with state and federal e-filing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
