Role Overview:
The client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of business litigation experience to join their Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in their Orlando office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in complex business litigation matters in both state and federal courts, with substantial experience in written and document discovery, pleadings, motions, and court filings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex business litigation matters, including conducting and managing discovery, researching and drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing witnesses for testimony.
- Appear for status conferences and argue motions in state and federal courts.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations, and assist with trial preparation.
- Interact directly with partners and clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in business litigation.
- A persuasive legal writer and oral advocate with proven experience in managing complex litigation cases.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a busy, collaborative environment with a strong work ethic.
- Must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with both colleagues and clients.
