The Chief Compliance Officer/Sr Legal Counsel is an important leader at Highridge Medical and will organize and oversee the Compliance program of Highridge Medical, while also supporting general legal matters, including international legal matters. The CCO/Sr Legal Counsel is responsible for 1) developing the Compliance program strategy for Highridge Medical to enable business results and effectively manage risk and 2) managing international legal matters to include advising on commercial strategy, managing legal entities, and negotiating distributor agreements. The CCO/Sr Legal Counsel will report to the Chief Legal Officer, but as CCO will have a dotted line and direct access to the Compliance Committee of Highridge’s Board of Directors.
This role is a leadership role, and the right candidate will be able to own projects, assignments and execute on goals, including influencing senior business leadership and other stakeholders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help develop and implement the Ethics and Compliance strategy and goals of Highridge to empower business leadership and effectively manage risk for the company.
- Develop programs which ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards across regions.
- Ensure effective ethics and compliance controls are in place, including written standards, education and communication, auditing and monitoring, third-party oversight, and corrective action.
- Prepare and negotiate all physician related consulting agreements.
- Lead quarterly Compliance Committee meetings, including preparing agenda and materials.
- Collaborate with international commercial leaders and help develop and implement commercial strategies and advise on international legal matters.
- Negotiate and manage all international stocking distributor agreements.
- Manage corporate filings for Highridge international legal entities.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the businesses and their operations; use knowledge of business and compliance metrics to inform the strategy and goals.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Law Degree and admission to practice law in the U.S. required.
- 7+ years of professional work experience required.
- 3+ years’ experience leading health care compliance program in the life sciences.
- Direct work with Sales & Marketing professionals is a plus.
- $260,000 - $200,000/year
