Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for supporting end users, practice management software, and business processes. Primary duties include maintenance of software, onboarding/offboarding users, and generating reports for attorneys, support staff, and management. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with the attorneys, staff, and firm leadership to identify and resolve issues with a variety of software programs related to matter management, time entries, accounting, billing, collections, and practice management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as data custodian for firm practice management systems
• Provide remote and on-site (as needed) software support with a focus on client satisfaction and high-quality, consistent service delivery
• Identify and resolve business systems issues
• Interact with vendor representatives to resolve software issues
• Respond to tickets from user base in an efficient and friendly manner
• Troubleshoot problems and visualize solutions with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving competencies
• Set up and maintain user system access and settings.
• Train new and existing users on practice management software and processes
• Generate and write reports using database queries, Excel, Business Objects, and Power BI
• Quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and Internet resources
• Create and maintain documentation for software processes
• Generate change requests for software changes and test solutions
• Assist in the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing software
• Collaborate with other teams and IT Staff to ensure smooth and reliable operations
• Work independently but be comfortable working in a team environment
• Deliver dependable and accurate work product
• Provide after-hours support when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems is preferred
• A minimum of three years of professional work experience in a similar role
• Fulcrum SNAP, Epoch and Upfront
• UKG
• Concur
• Litify
• Billing software similar to Salvo, BillBast, 3E Elite.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus
• Experience with scripting (SQL, PowerShell, VBA, or Python) is preferred.
• MS Power Apps, Power BI, or Business Objects experience is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and Data Analysis)
• Familiarity with web browser support
