Paralegal
Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid)
Overview:
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our Cleveland office. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and will provide substantive legal and administrative support to attorneys within our Trusts & Estates practice group.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in estate planning and probate/trust administration, along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate administration, including probate filings and ongoing case management
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related materials
- Prepare probate court filings, fiduciary accountings, and supporting documentation
- Manage and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and organization across electronic and paper systems
- Coordinate asset collection and valuation, including communication with financial institutions and advisors
- Track deadlines and court requirements to ensure timely filings and compliance
- Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and outside professionals in a professional and responsive manner
- Assist with preparation of federal and state estate tax returns (preferred)
- Support attorneys with client meetings, document execution, and follow-up tasks
- Enter time, assist with billing processes, and support general practice management needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of paralegal experience, specifically in trusts & estates required
- Strong knowledge of estate planning documents, probate procedures, and trust administration
- Experience with probate court filings and fiduciary accountings
- Familiarity with estate and/or fiduciary income tax matters is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 – $95,000. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
