The Legal Assistant/Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting the Litigation practice group and boosting attorney efficiency by managing information and aiding in the delivery of legal services, including client interactions. This position demands a proactive attitude to ensure tasks are completed on time, exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This position will be expected to track and record their own billable time as applicable. Minimum of three years of complex commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting required. Strong knowledge of e-filing in State and Federal court highly preferred.

- Handle aspects of client intake including collection of all pertinent information, file opening, engagement documents, etc. as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings including videoconferences, and conference calls.
- Manage attorneys' contacts, schedule, and calendar via Outlook.
- Enter time for timekeeper and print reports as requested.
- Process expense reports and check requests.
- Handle general client correspondence.
- File of both physical and electronic documents.
- Assist with follow up on AR collection.
- Assist attorneys in preparation for meetings.
- Assist with case docketing, including court and discovery deadlines.
- Assist with document retrieval, reviews, and organization of voluminous production.
- Prepare and finalize pleadings in accordance with applicable State and Federal rules for filing with court.
- Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, and discovery.
- Use document, transcript, and work product databases to download when needed.
- Assist with depositions, i.e., prep. binders, exhibits, and all other discovery related tasks.
- Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines.
- Coordinate and assist with trial preparations, i.e., exhibits, witness binders, and demonstratives.
- Prepare and finalize pleadings in accordance with applicable State and Federal rules for filing with court.
- Work with supervising attorney(s) to organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or privilege logs.
- Provide organizational and legal support at trial, such as assist with jury selection, presentation and maintenance of exhibits, and witness coordination.
- Conduct Legal Research.
- Track and record all billable and non-billable time.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Provide legal and non-legal administrative support to attorneys.
- Other duties as assigned.
