The Chicago office of Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an associate to support its nationally recognized construction law practice. To be considered, candidates must have at least 2 years of construction law or equivalent experience. The group’s core practice areas are counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation. Experience in preparing and negotiating construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements is beneficial, as the position will include transactional work. Successful candidates will have experience litigating all types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes such as mechanic’s lien, bond, and stop notice claims, and breach of contract claims. Excellent academic credentials, strong references and superb written and oral communication skills are required. Prior AmLaw 100 and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred; IL Bar membership is required. Transactional real estate experience will be considered. Compensation range: $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
