Summary

Are you someone who prides yourself on attention to detail, enjoys working independently with electronic records and performs large volume production data entry with high speed and accuracy?

The primary function of the Legal Administrative Specialist II is to perform data entry tasks for the Superior Court Clerk’s office. The person in this position will be responsible for meeting certain levels of performance related to speed and accuracy of processing documents. Important aspects of this position include the attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive work with confidentiality.

The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA), also known as the Superior Court Clerk's Office, is an innovative, forward-looking agency using technology to help perform tasks better, more efficiently and reliably. DJA performs a variety of services for the Court, litigants and the general public. DJA's mission is to provide professional, high-quality Superior Court record services and justice system programs, while ensuring access to justice and integrity in the process.

WHO MAY APPLY:  This position is open to current King County Career Service and Term-Limited Temporary employees.

WORK LOCATION:  King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Avenue, Seattle Washington.

WORK SCHEDULE: The usual schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 40 hours a week. This position is overtime eligible

Job Duties

  • Accurately record information into a statewide computer database.
  • Compare, review and update data.
  • Perform production typing and data entry of large volume of documents with high speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidential records.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • Two years of experience working with electronic records management In a highly regulated environment with high volume data entry, attention to detail and speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a computer, including use of Windows-based software such as Word and Excel.
  • Must have strong typing and/or data entry skills with 60-wpm minimum.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Demonstrated punctuality, dependability and good work attendance.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask

Salary
  • $58,646.22 - $74,337.33/year
