The Cincinnati office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support.
Primary responsibilities include:
Follows the ethical requirement as set forth in the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State.
Contacts clients, parties, witnesses, and experts at the direction of lawyers.
Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, complaints, indices, table of contents and authorities, exhibits and other correspondence
Schedule appointments, travel arrangements, conferences and client meetings
Perform administrative tasks such as preparing expense reports, check requests and time entry, as requested
Maintain client and administrative files in accordance with firm procedures, including within the document management system
Superior knowledge of e-filing and court procedures (state and federal)
Assists in trials and closings as requested by attorneys
Ability to perform legal research tasks as requested by attorneys
Capable of multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products with special emphasis on MSWord, Excel, Time & Billing software
Ability to handle pressure, overtime hours as needed, interruptions, and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines
Must be incredibly organized and detail oriented
