
General Counsel / Employment Law Attorney
SUMMARY
Join Row Partners Inc, the world's first End to End PEO (Professional Employer Organization) as our Employment Law Attorney and General Counsel. You will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership while ensuring the organization operates within the scope of federal, state, and local employment and corporate laws. This is a key leadership role with broad responsibility across Erisa Law, labor law compliance, client contract negotiation, risk management, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary legal advisor to the CEO and executive team
- Lead and manage all legal matters including labor and employment law, Erisa law, contracts, compliance, and litigation
- Draft, review, and negotiate client service agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership deals
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., DOL, EEOC, OSHA, IRS, state agencies)
- Oversee risk management programs and handle or supervise legal disputes and claims
- Support HR and Benefits Teams as it relates to interpreting employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and ERISA law compliance
- Develop and maintain internal policies and training to mitigate legal exposure
- Manage relationships with external counsel as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 3+ years of legal experience, with significant focus in employment law, corporate law, or related areas
- Experience working with or advising a PEO, HR outsourcing firm, or in a heavily regulated multi-state employer environment is preferred
- Proven ability to navigate complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions
- Strategic thinker with excellent judgment, negotiation skills, and business acumen
- Experience managing legal teams, external counsel contracts and relationships and risk management functions including compliance and regulatory matters.
