The Litigation Intake Specialist will manage the intake process of new PIP suits and subpoenas to ensure they are properly referred to counsel.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Suit Intake & File Origination: Identify new inbound lawsuits, establish comprehensive digital suit files, create standardized referral templates to ensure seamless hand-offs to counsel (in-house and outside counsel), and assign suits to counsel on a timely basis.

• Risk & Deadline Mitigation: Identify and prioritize Default Notices, confirming they are addressed within statutory timelines to prevent adverse judgments.

• PIP Mail & Correspondence: Centralize the handling of all incoming PIP-related mail, ensuring time-sensitive documents are routed to the appropriate claim or legal file.

• Legal Process Management: Serve as the central point for receiving and logging Subpoenas, as well as fulfilling formal requests for PIP Ledgers and Claim Files for discovery.

• Conflict & Assignment Oversight: Manage mandatory conflict checks for all new matters and execute suit re-assignments when conflicts of interest or workload shifts arise.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Two years previous auto insurance experience required; experience in insurance claims and litigation is a plus

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously

• Licenses/Designations: Property and Casualty license a plus 

Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.

Starting Salary: 55,000-65,000

 Location: Princeton, NJ
