Job Description

Duties This position is located in the Designation and Sentence Computation Center (DSCC). Serves as a Correctional Program Specialist and is a subject matter expert and advises in the areas of sentencing, sentence computations, classifications and designations. Performs many other functions such as gathering and evaluating management assessment data, conducting studies of programs, surveys and analyzes data for development of programs. Responsible for the daily operation of the routine and controlled correspondence in support of the DSCC. In addition to routine correspondence, is responsible for the most complex and difficult correspondence. Correspondence covers a myriad of issues raised by inmates and others from across the nation in response to BOP policies. Conducts surveys and analyzes data for development of programs, stays abreast of Federal laws and agency regulations and operates microcomputer software. Provides support services to all field, regional, and Office of General Counsel staff in matters of sentencing, sentence computation, classifications, and designations. Salary- $115,711 - $150,426/year
