Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 200 national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate with 3-5 years experience to join their national Business Litigation team in Tampa or Miami, Florida.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Florida bar license.
- 3 to 5 years of substantive business litigation experience, including courtroom experience and handling hearings independently.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, with Law Review or Clerkship experience (Federal, Florida state, or appellate) considered a plus.
- Proficiency in handling litigation tasks, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions in federal and state courts, working with expert witnesses, and preparing for trial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where client service is a top priority.
- Manage all aspects of business litigation cases, including case preparation, trial strategy, and courtroom representation.
- Draft and review critical legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
- Provide strategic advice and manage complex business litigation matters, particularly in medical malpractice and professional liability cases.
- Collaborate with clients, develop case strategies, and engage in high-level litigation activities.
