Located at the League Office Headquarters in New York City, the Summer Intern Program is a 10-week program that runs from June 3rd-August 5th. Interns will be a part of an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, values diversity and promotes creativity.
- Create initial drafts of agreements (e.g., license agreements, training facility agreements, SOWs, NDAs, marketing/influencer agreements, etc.) on MLS templates.
- Research legal issues related to soccer and other sports leagues.
- Shadow members of the legal team across deal negotiations (e.g., stadium license agreements, content distribution, sponsorships, etc.).
- Make PowerPoint presentations and decks for legal trainings and other legal updates for MLS and MLS Clubs.
- Perform filing, document management functions, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Undergraduate rising senior
- Recent college graduate
- Currently enrolled in a post-graduate program
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
- High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Must commit to attend full 10-week program
- Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
TOTAL REWARDS
Major League Soccer offers an hourly salary of $20 based on a 40-hour work week.
