Job Summary: The Litigation Paralegal works as a liaison between clients and a national network of attorneys related to commercial collections matters. This position provides status updates and answers questions for clients, and coordinates with attorneys throughout the litigation and post-judgment stages.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between clients and a national network of attorneys
- Maintains independent portfolio of cases
- Corresponds with clients and attorneys via phone, email, and online portals to provide case updates and gather information
- Reviews attorney and client information and provides feedback
- Generates and reviews reports to communicate with clients and attorneys
- Conducts jurisdiction-specific research and educates coworkers on findings
- Reviews documentation (affidavits, complaints, settlement agreements, releases, waivers, etc.) for accuracy and makes or suggests revisions as necessary
- Reviews attorney invoicing and client billing
- Monitors the litigation and post-judgment processes to ensure efficient and effective outcomes
- Other duties as assigned

Education, experience, certifications
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Four or more years of experience in a professional legal setting

- Ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to management, clients, and other staff members
